Murder jury hears So Solid songs

Megaman when he appeared on TVs Nevermind the Buzzcocks
Dwayne Vincent denies murder
The music of So Solid Crew rapper Megaman, accused of encouraging his friend to shoot a man dead, has been played to an Old Bailey murder jury.

Officers said there were references to guns in the rapper's songs - real name Dwayne Vincent, 26, of west London.

Mr Vincent denies murder, as does his friend Carl Morgan, 24, of Battersea, south London, who is accused of shooting Colin Scarlett last November.

Mr Vincent says he is anti-guns and the defence denied his songs refer to them.

The rapper's counsel claim it is another rapper performing when a gun reference is made and that the word officers believed was Uzi, is in fact ooze.

It is alleged the two accused went to Mr Scarlett's home and killed him after he beat up Mr Morgan.

Mr Scarlett had become the boyfriend of Mr Morgan's former girlfriend - with whom Mr Morgan has two children.

The case continues.
